Stories, Conversations, Musings, and Lessons Learned

An Open Letter to Facebook Friends

Need a friend who is all about bringing out the best in you? Friend me on Facebook… Every morning from around 5am to 8ish I’m in the Mobile Office at Starbucks, or some other coffeeshop, somewhere in the world. Kinda like where’s Waldo, only it… where’s Ron.

It begins with coffee, my MacBook, and people like you. And, it ends with backstory post. God is there when I arrive, He’s always in the room… giving insight and inspiration. My posts are personal, stories, memories, conversations, musing, and lessons learned. I just trust Abba…and write.

These FacebooPosts are my legacy. Read between the lines and you will discover my hidden side. ummmmmm. By the way, it makes me feel good when you leave with a smile on your face.

Friend, Follow, Like, Comment, Share. ~ We are all in the story that’s still being written.

The Road Ahead Is Filled with Surprises

We are inside the danger zone. Disasters are all around, rage is unchecked, cancers are growing, tempers flaring, and hatred is creeping into our cul-de-sacs. Distrust is making us suspicious of everything, while a growing number are doubting God’s existence and denying His power.

Our current condition is a human problem, not a God problem. We don’t have the power to kick Him out of schools, or workplaces, or churches… He is still there, whether we are aware of Him or not. We are the ones who have turned away, closed our eyes, and corked our ears. Then, we cry out for a fix, telling God to make it better and give us blessings, fulfill our wishes.

In the middle of the darkness, we long for shock and awe… we want to know… to see miracles with our own eyes. We cry out for the God of heaven to heal us, protect us, defend us, and when need be, rescue us. We ask, but wonder why He is so silent, after all, we make sure to ask in the name of Jesus.

Perhaps we are more focused on what WE want more than what GOD wants. ummmmmmm,

In the end, we will overcome evil, not because of us at all… we overcome by the blood of the Lamb (death of Jesus) and our testimony (the story of God written in our lives). It’s all about God, not us. We just follow Jesus… walking humbly, loving personally, and following His lead… making Him look good.

From wherever you are in the world, with your mobile device, you can leave the shallows and step boldly into the deep. Yes, from our perspective it’s dangerous and risky and mysterious; but from God’s perspective, He gets to give us peace that passes understanding, to walk with you through the valley of shadow, and to pull you closer, revealing unwritten secrets. He has already begun invading Facebook!

Let’s focus on God’s perspective, right here, right now. Come with me on an invasion… an invasion of Social Media that begins in a coffeeshop and connects with people all over the world. It seems outrageous and a little dangerous (Facebook is filled with hate and rumor and cynicism.). It seems risky (The seeds we plant will be watered by someone else.). And it will be mysterious (This is God’s work not mine.). Only God knows what’s next… when He nudges I move.

Let the invasion begin. God is leading the way… Together we will post, like, comment, share, tweet, and retweet. We will plant seeds, shine the light, and spread salt. We will listen for God’s voice, follow His lead, and invade the dangers of social media. While He connects dots, writes the plot, and changes lives.

Chek out Ron’s perspective on life and the adventure embedded in mystry. He’s a people builder.

GoSigns that point the way to truth and hope.

Ron’s PodCast is all about light… the kind found in stories and conversations and musings.

Stories of everyday people who lived to make others look good.
